American Traveler is seeking an experienced Travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Tyler, Texas. The assignment requires at least two years of recent L&D and prior travel nursing experience.

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Texas, requiring at least two years of recent L&D and travel nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 14-bed Labor & Delivery hospital unit
• Patient ratio is typically 1:2
• Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week from 18:00 to 06:00
• Holiday coverage requires working 2 out of 3 major holidays if needed
• Epic EMR used; experience preferred
• No travel pairs or groups are permitted
• No RTO allowed during first week of orientation; maximum of 3 days RTO will be auto-approved
• Mandatory onsite orientation includes module completion with recorded transcripts
• Wear appropriate hospital scrubs as per unit policy

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• At least one previous travel nursing assignment required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NR, AWHONN (Advanced, Beginner, or Intermediate)
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
• Candidates from specific counties are not accepted
• Former permanent staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
