Job Summary

Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in the state of Alaska. This role involves providing specialized obstetric care within a magnet designation facility that is also a Level II Trauma center. The assignment offers an opportunity to work in a high-volume, high-risk antepartum environment, with an emphasis on supporting various obstetric procedures and patient needs.

Job Details

Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications:

Valid Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Association of Womens Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Intermediate and Advanced certifications, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, 0 years of experience with a minimum of 1 year preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

Charge nurse experience or willingness to train as charge nurse, prior experience in obstetric triage or antepartum units, charting system experience with Epic

Additional Information:

The unit is a high-risk obstetric environment with an average of 7 daily deliveries, including inductions and high-risk antepartum cases. May float within scope to meet facility needs, including to like units if needed. Candidate must have Alaska RN license in hand to be eligible for auto-offer; pending licenses accepted if in hand before start date. Must be willing to work two major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year). No local candidates accepted; candidates' perm addresses must be at least 50 miles from the facility.
