Job Summary

Labor & Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse in Anchorage, Alaska. This role supports a high‑risk Obstetrics (OB) triage/testing unit and a Labor & Delivery unit. Responsibilities include providing direct patient care for antepartum and triage populations, assisting with deliveries and related procedures, and supporting clinical activities within the OB care workflow. Candidates must bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights; 3 shifts per week; 12 hours per shift; minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  • Alaska Registered Nurse (AK RN) license (license must be in hand for auto‑offer; pending licenses may be accepted for screening)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Intermediate and Advanced
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Charge experience: previous charge experience preferred (or willingness to train as charge)
  • Charting experience with Epic
• Preferred Qualifications: Charge experience
• Additional Information:
  • OB triage/testing and high‑risk Labor & Delivery unit coverage
  • Clinical responsibilities may include assisting with procedures such as cervical cerclage, cesarean, and D&C
  • Weekend coverage required every other weekend
  • Float within scope may be required to meet facility needs
  • Holidays: willingness to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
