Job summary

Chenega Government Mission Solutions, LLC is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support the Fort Belknap Hospital in Harlem, MT. Position duration is 13+ weeks with a 40-hour work week and start date of November 2, 2026.

The role involves processing and analyzing clinical specimens, collecting blood, and ensuring quality control across chemistry, hematology, coagulation, serology, urinalysis, and molecular tests. Phlebotomy experience and ASCP/AMT certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Two-year associate’s degree in medical technology, Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Certification as a Medical Technician by a recognized certifying body (e.g. ASCP, AMT)
• 2-3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting. Phlebotomy required.
• Knowledge in microbiology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process and analyze clinical laboratory specimens using diagnostic equipment.
• Prepare patients and collect blood specimens using venipuncture or capillary methods.
• Prepare patients for collection of other specimen types such as urine and stool.
• Review, verify and report patient results.
• Must be proficient in major areas of the clinical laboratory: chemistry, hematology, coagulation, serology, urinalysis, and molecular testing.
• Perform, update and/or review Quality Control, Calibrations, and Maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.
