Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Thousand Oaks, CA. This role involves direct patient care during labor, delivery and the immediate postpartum period, with emphasis on safety, teamwork, and evidence-based obstetric nursing practices.

The position requires current RN licensure in California, BLS and NRP certifications, plus at least one year of Labor and Delivery experience.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP Certification.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during labor, delivery, and exams.
• Provide immediate postpartum care and newborn assessment.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and team members.
