Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Labor and Delivery travel nurse in Thousand Oaks, CA. The RN will assume shifts of 12 hours, days, on a 36-hour work week for a 13-week assignment, with travel compensation. Prior acute care experience and L&D skills are essential, with ACLS/BLS/NRP certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 years of recent acute care experience.
• Active California RN license required.
• ACLS, BLS and NRP certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and guide breathing techniques.
• Assess cervix progression and dilation regularly.
• Assist physicians with deliveries and epidurals when needed.
• Provide immediate care to the newborn after birth.
