Job summary

GHR Healthcare is seeking a Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment in Thousand Oaks, CA. This OB-focused travel RN role requires fetal monitoring, vaginal exams, and C-section circulation to support mothers and newborns.

The position offers 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, with start 09/28/2026 and end 12/28/2026. Openings: 2. Competitive weekly pay and strong maternity care teamwork are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience.
• Experience with fetal monitoring and obstetric patient assessment.
• Ability to perform vaginal exams.
• Experience circulating C-sections and providing post-C-section recovery care.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications.
• Strong critical thinking and patient service.
• Flexible, adaptable, and collaborative team player.
• Resume required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care for laboring patients, including vaginal delivery support and postpartum recovery.
• Assist with C-section circulation and post-operative maternal care.
• Monitor fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in maternal or fetal condition.
• Care for high-risk antepartum patients, including those with gestational hypertension and gestational diabetes.
• Support obstetrical emergencies, including hemorrhage response and urgent maternal interventions.
• Perform Labour & Delivery nursing tasks such as vaginal exams and outpatient testing as needed.
• Provide newborn care during the first hour of life, including initial breastfeeding support and latch assistance.
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, compassionate maternity care.
