Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Vicksburg, Mississippi. The position is a 13-week travel assignment in Vicksburg, MS with a 12-hour night shift and 36 hours per week.

Requires ACLS, BLS, NRP and 3 years of acute care RN experience. Travel L&D RNs provide care and support before, during, and after delivery, assisting physicians during procedures and caring for both mother and newborn.

Qualifications

• 3 years' recent acute care RN experience.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, 2 years *additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix to monitor progression.
• Assist physician with delivery instruments and procedures.
• Immediate care of newborn.
