Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a travel assignment in Indianapolis, IN. The RN will monitor labor, assist during delivery, and provide immediate newborn care, with 12-hour night shifts and a 36-hour weekly schedule.

Requirements include ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN and 2 years of acute care experience. Prior travel or L&D experience is preferred. Benefits include weekly pay and guaranteed hours.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years' acute care experience implied by description.
• L&D travel nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Evaluate cervix progression and monitor dilation.
• Maintain clean and safe beds; assist with delivery instruments and patient care.
• Assist physicians with drapes, gloves, gowns, and delivery tools.
• Provide immediate newborn care.
