Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This LD RN role features 12-hour nights, a 36-hour work week, and a 13-week assignment with ACLS/BLS/NRP/STABLE credentials expected.

Ideal candidates bring 3 years of acute care experience and are prepared to support mothers through labor, delivery, and immediate newborn care across high-paced shifts in a travel setting.

Qualifications

• 3 years' recent acute care experience required.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE certifications required.
• Labor and Delivery RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Assess cervix progression and dilation regularly.
• Keep beds clean and dry; manage bodily fluids.
• Assist physicians with delivery instruments and drapes.
• Provide immediate newborn care after birth.
