Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking Labor and Delivery travel nurses for an immediate opening in Hoffman Estates, IL. You will work 12-hour night shifts on a 13-week assignment, averaging 36 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend potentially included.

The ideal candidate has 3 years of recent acute care experience, holds ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications, and can assist physicians during delivery procedures. This position requires flexibility, physical stamina, and the ability to manage fast-paced obstetric

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Illinois.
• ACLS, BLS and NRP certifications required.
• Minimum 3 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix progression and monitor dilation.
• Keep beds clean and dry; manage bodily fluids related to birth.
• Assist physician with delivery instruments and prep.
• Provide immediate newborn care.
