Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN LDRP - Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum for a travel nursing job in Lexington, Kentucky. The position requires 3 years of acute care experience and offers a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week, night shifts, and a 12-hour schedule.

As an L&D Travel Nurse, you will support women before, during, and after delivery, assist during epidurals or cesarean prep, monitor labor progress, and care for both mother and newborn.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, AWHONN, NRP certifications required.
• Minimum 3 years acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression.
• Keep beds clean and dry and manage bodily fluids.
• Assist physician with drapes, gloves, gowns, instruments.
• Provide immediate care to newborn.
