TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for Labor and Delivery in Oklahoma City, OK. This travel assignment runs for 13 weeks with 36 hours per week on a 12-hour day shift.

Ideal candidates have 3 years of acute care experience and current BLS, EFM, and NRP certifications. The role involves direct obstetric care, assisting physicians, and caring for the newborn, in a fast-paced travel environment.

Qualifications

• 3 years' recent acute care experience required.
• BLS, EFM, NRP certifications needed; additional certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient during labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression.
• Assist physician with drapes, gloves, and delivery instruments.
• Provide immediate care of newborn.
