Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Oklahoma City, OK. You will provide obstetric nursing care, monitor maternal and fetal status, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a high-demand setting.

Requirements include 1 year L&D RN experience, a valid RN license, current BLS, and NRP certification. Preferred credentials include ACLS, AWHONN fetal monitoring, and STABLE.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery, and examinations.
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including mother and newborn assessment and stabilization.
• Educate patients on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and team members.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document care, assessments and interventions in the medical record.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpretation of results.
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
• Comply with hospital policies, state laws and federal guidelines.
