Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is hiring a travel Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week assignment in Seattle, WA. Start date 10/19/2026, 36 hours/week, 12-hour day shifts. Travel position offering competitive pay, benefits, and strong clinical support.

The RN will provide obstetric care, monitor maternal/fetal status, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent Labor and Delivery RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP Certification required.
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification preferred.
• STABLE and ACLS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing guidelines.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during labor, delivery, and exams.
• Provide immediate postpartum care and assess mother/newborn.
• Educate patients on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and team members.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document care in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
