Job summary

FutureSoft Consulting Inc is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a 26-week travel assignment in Spokane, Washington. Ideal candidate has at least 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience and comfortable caring for both routine and high-risk obstetric patients in a fast-paced acute-care setting.

You will monitor fetal heart rate, manage active labor, inductions, VBAC/TOLAC, antepartum care, and maternal emergencies, with Epic charting and team handoffs.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience.
Recent acute-care hospital experience required.
Experience with high-risk obstetric patients and fetal monitoring.
Ability to independently manage actively laboring patients.
Experience with induction and augmentation of labor.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum.
Perform maternal and fetal assessments.
Monitor fetal heart rate, contractions, and labor progression.
Recognize abnormal tracing and escalate as needed.
Administer oxytocin and medications per orders.
Support VBAC/TOLAC, inductions, and high-risk obstetric care.
Maintain Epic documentation.
Participate in shift handoffs and interdisciplinary communication.
Float to appropriate units as staffing requires.
