Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for Labor & Delivery in North Dakota. Requires ND or compact RN license and at least 3 years in L&D, postpartum, and gyn care; fetal monitoring experience is required. Night shifts are 3x12 hours with rotating weekends/holidays; travel orientation is provided.

EPIC charting is used for gyn; scrubs and travel housing benefits are offered. Travel assignments include NB nursery/NICU float, 80-mile radius restriction, and a structured onboarding process

Qualifications

• Active ND or compact RN license required.
• Minimum 3 years experience in L&D, postpartum and gyn care.
• Fetal monitoring experience required.
• Current BLS, ACLS and NRP certifications.

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting in a Labor & Delivery unit with 19 beds.
• Care for L&D patients including high-risk deliveries, postpartum mom and baby, and gyn surgical post-op patients.
• Nurse to patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 for L&D; 1:3 mom/baby; 1:4 gyn patients.
• Use fetal monitors, suction, oxygen, vital sign monitors, OBIX documentation, centralized monitoring for L&D.
• Use EPIC for gyn charting.
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts.
• Rotating weekends and holidays required.
• Floating to NB nursery and NICU as needed.
• Provides nursing care during delivery for high-risk L&D patients, postpartum mom and baby, and gyn post-op patients.
• 36 hours orientation for travelers.
• All clinicians must badge in/out at the facility.
• Navy blue scrubs for gyn/mom-baby; hospital scrubs for L&D.
• Candidates must live outside an 80-mile radius of the facility.
• Sanford Health end date restrictions for previous employees.
