Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a Travel Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week assignment in Winfield, KS. You will work nights on 12-hour shifts, delivering high-quality obstetric care and supporting mothers and newborns through labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period.

The role requires 1 year of L&D experience, an active RN license, and BLS/NRP certifications. This travel position includes competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and 36 hours per week with a tax-free stipend

Qualifications

One year’s recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
Current RN license in good standing with state regulations.
BLS certification (AHA/ARC) current.
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required.

Responsibilities

Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families, providing reassurance and addressing concerns.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing protocols.
Prepare equipment and assist physicians during labor, delivery, and examinations.
Provide immediate postpartum care, including mother and newborn stabilization.
Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and team members for cohesive care.
