Job summary

TotalMed is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery travel RN for an assignment in Odessa, Texas. The role requires 3 years of acute care experience and facilitates care before, during, and after delivery. This travel position spans 13 weeks with 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts.

Certifications ACLS/BLS/NRP/SP), STABLE, PALS are expected, with responsibilities including fetal monitoring, patient support, and newborn care. Benefits and travel logistics are provided by TotalMed RN.

Qualifications

• Must have 3 years' recent acute care experience.
• Specialty: Labor and Delivery (L&D) RN.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Assess cervix progression and monitor dilation.
• Maintain beds clean and dry; manage bodily fluids as needed.
• Assist physicians with delivery procedures and newborn care.
