Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a Labor and Delivery travel nurse in Marrero, LA for a 13-week assignment with 36 hours/week. Nights, 12-hour shifts, immediate opening with 3+ years of acute care experience preferred. Travel employment with comprehensive benefits and ongoing education opportunities.

The L&D RN will monitor labor, assist during procedures, and provide newborn care while supporting patients and families through the birthing process.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (state unspecified) and ability to work in a fast-paced Labor and Delivery unit.
• BLS, CST, ACLS, EFM, AWHONN, NRP certifications may be required ahead of assignment.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a related setting or as specified in ad.

Responsibilities

• Monitor laboring patients and provide continuous care through delivery.
• Assist physicians during epidurals, cesarean deliveries, and other procedures.
• Support newborn care and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout labor and postpartum.
