Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Labor and Delivery travel nurse for Marrero, LA. The RN will support mothers through labor and delivery, monitor both clinical and emotional needs, and assist physicians during procedures.

This travel role requires strong endurance and teamwork in a fast-paced setting. Ideal candidates have 3 years of recent acute care experience, current L&D certifications, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ recent acute care experience required.
• Current certifications may be required before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression.
• Maintain clean and dry beds; clean up birth-related fluids.
• Aid physician with drapes, gloves, gowns, and instruments.
• Provide immediate care to newborn.
