Job summary
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a 13-week travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, CA. As a member of our team, you'll provide comprehensive obstetric care, monitor both maternal and fetal health, and collaborate with a dedicated clinical team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Requirements include one year of recent Labor and Delivery experience, CA RN license, BLS, and NRP certification.
Qualifications
- One year recent experience as Labor and Delivery RN.
- Valid RN license in CA as per state regulations.
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
- NRP Certification.
Responsibilities
- Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments during labor per obstetric nursing techniques.
- Prepare equipment and assist physician during labor, delivery, and examinations.
- Provide immediate postpartum care and stabilize mother and newborn.
- Educate patients on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and team members.
- Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
- Document care and interventions in the medical record.
