Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, CA, for Labor and Delivery. Nights, 12-hour shifts (3x12). Start 09/14/2026. Travel support and credentialing assistance provided.

Responsibilities include planning and delivering comprehensive care across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods, with emergencies and C-section circulating. Strong teamwork and CA RN license required. Housing and travel logistics assistance available.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in California in good standing.
• Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts on a 3x12 schedule.
• Experience across labor and delivery: antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and emergencies.
• Strong communication and teamwork with CNAs and staff.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; willing to complete travel credentialing and onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide nursing care across antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum periods, including emergencies and intraoperative circulating for C-sections.
• Assess patient status, implement care plans, administer medications as ordered, and document clinical data accurately.
• Monitor maternal and fetal conditions, respond to changes, and coordinate with the obstetric team during emergencies.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary personnel within scope of practice, collaborating with CNAs and other team members.
• Educate patients and families, support emotional well-being, and contribute to discharge planning and follow-up education.
• Maintain safety, infection control, and compliance with policies; ensure accurate charting and handoffs.
