Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Ottumwa, Iowa. This position is a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts, and travel status.

The ideal candidate will have 3 years of recent acute care experience and certifications including ACLS, BLS, NRP, and STABLE. As an L&D travel nurse, you will support mothers through labor, delivery, and immediate newborn care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 3 years' recent acute care experience.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE certifications may be required before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression.
• Keep beds clean and dry; clean up bodily fluids.
• Assist physician with drapes, gloves, gowns and delivery instruments.
• Provide immediate care of the newborn.
