Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a 12-week travel assignment in Glendale, CA. You’ll work 36 hours per week with night shifts, enjoying competitive pay and the support of a dedicated clinical team.

As a Labor and Delivery RN you will assess maternal and fetal health, administer treatments, and collaborate with obstetric teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period.

Qualifications

One year’s recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
NRP Certification.

Responsibilities

Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing techniques.
Prepare equipment and assist physicians during labor and delivery.
Provide postpartum care for mother and newborn.
Educate patients on postpartum recovery and newborn care.
Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and team members.
Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
Document care and interventions in medical records.
Participate in quality improvement to improve outcomes.
Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
