Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a Labor and Delivery RN for a 26-week travel assignment in Santa Rosa, CA. You will provide obstetric care, monitor maternal and fetal status, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team while enjoying competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

This travel role requires one year of RN L&D experience, active California RN license, BLS, and NRP certification. Shift is 12 hours, nights, 36 hours per week, starting 10/05/2026.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience.
• Valid RN license in California.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing standards.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during labor and delivery.
• Provide immediate postpartum care and newborn assessment.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and team members.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document care and interventions accurately in medical records.
• Participate in quality improvement to enhance outcomes.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
