Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is recruiting a travel Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week assignment in Salinas, CA. The role focuses on maternal and fetal care, labor support, and postpartum follow-up within a hospital setting.

The candidate will manage obstetric nursing duties, monitor fetal health, and collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and the care team to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes. Travel pay and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• One years’ recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families, providing reassurance and addressing concerns
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved obstetric nursing techniques
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery, and examination of patients
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care
