**Required/Preferred Experience:**- Labor and delivery experience, including the ability to labor and recover the mother as well as receive and transition the newborn including assessment.- Experience with shoulder dystocia, PP hemorrhage, and other potential OB emergencies preferred.- Advanced skills needed: Fetal monitoring education, experience with inductions (Pitocin, cervidil).**Certifications Required:**- BLS (Basic Life Support)- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)- Fetal Monitoring training**Leadership/Clinical Experience:**- The unit has 6 seasoned, very experienced RNs with approximately 30 years of experience each, serving as great resources and preceptors.- Several other nurses have been with the unit for 7-10 years and are also very experienced and competent.**Skills and Qualifications:**- Experience with procedures performed on the unit: C-sections, circumcisions, intra-uterine monitoring, vacuum or forceps assisted deliveries.**Dress Code:**- Pink and/or brown scrubs required per the infant security policy for the unit.**Scheduling and Floating Policy:**- Full-time: 3 shifts per week with rotating weekends and holidays. PRN to complete.- Floating: Regular staff expected to float anywhere within the facility as needed. Some staff are cross-trained to float between LDRP & NICU.Note: The unit offers a great way to gain experience in labor, delivery, post-partum, and neonate care due to its LDRP setup.
