Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Special Procedures Technologist in Charleston, South Carolina. The IR Tech will assist physicians with image-guided procedures and ensure patient safety throughout the exam.

Requirements include ARRT(R), BLS, ACLS, and state licensing where required; 1 year of acute care experience is preferred. The contract spans 13 weeks with 40 hours per week and day shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) National Certification and state licensing when required.
• Vascular Interventional certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate fluoroscopic equipment and assist physicians in minimally invasive procedures.
• Prepare and observe patients undergoing procedures and report abnormal activity.
• Confirm patient identity and explain procedures to patients; provide reassurance.
• Assist in scrubbing diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Monitor patient during all procedures; maintain patient safety.
