Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Charlottesville, Virginia. The role supports vascular IR and Hybrid OR cases, requiring ARRT(R) and 2+ years of IR experience. Shifts are Days, 8 hours, 40 hours per week, typically 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

The tech will operate in the OR, assist imaging, and collaborate with vascular surgeons and OR staff. A weekend/call rotation applies within the schedule.

Qualifications

• ARRT required; ARRT(VI) preferred.
• BLS required.
• VA state license required if applicable; pending license accepted but must have licensure in another state, with ETA of 8 weeks.
• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• Trauma Level I experience preferred.
• Strong vascular/IR experience required.
• Familiarity with Hybrid OR procedures required.
• Ability to work independently required.
• Experience with vascular studies/procedures, angioplasty, carotid stenting, endovascular interventions (EVAR, TEVAR), thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and upper/lower extremity angiography.
• Experience prepping access sites and using vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose).
• Experience with Siemens equipment and ultrasound.
• Epic experience required.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Imaging support role in the OR working vascular interventional radiology cases.
• Hybrid OR and Interventional Radiology work settings.
• Techs will not scrub in during procedures.
• 5x8 or 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
• Call rotation of q4, including one weekend per month and four weekdays per month.
• 50-mile radius rule applies.
