Job summary

Trailblazer Staffing Solutions is seeking a Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Charlottesville, Virginia. The IR Tech will operate advanced imaging equipment to assist interventional radiologists during image-guided procedures, following ALARA safety practices.

Requirements include 2+ years of IR tech experience, ARRT radiography certification with VI/CI preferred, and an active state radiologic license. BLS CPR certification is required; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of IR tech or similar experience in a hospital setting.
• Active ARRT radiography certification with VI or CI preferred.
• Active state radiologic technologist license (where applicable).
• Current CPR/BLS certification; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scrub in and assist interventional radiology procedures (angioplasties, embolizations, biopsies, stent placements).
• Operate fluoroscopy, C-arm, and 3D imaging systems per ALARA guidelines.
• Prepare and sterilize trays, catheters, wires, and interventional devices.
• Monitor image quality and transfer studies to PACS/RIS.
• Assist with patient positioning and sterile draping; participate in call rotations.
