Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing in Overland Park, Kansas, seeks a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment. You'll assist physicians in minimally invasive procedures, operate fluoroscopy and imaging equipment, and ensure patient safety and high-quality care.

Requirements include one year IR tech experience, ARRT/RCIS/RCES certification, and current BLS; preferred ACLS, radiologic license, and PALS/ENPC.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
• Valid ARRT, RCIS, or RCES certification in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound) to guide procedures.
• Scrub in for sterile procedures, pass instruments, and maintain a sterile field.
• Monitor vital signs and document procedural details.
• Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Ensure proper radiation safety for patients, staff, and self.
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensuring readiness for procedures.
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other team members to provide seamless patient care.
• Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols.
• Educate patients before, during, and after procedures.
