Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology RN for a Level II Trauma acute care hospital in Illinois. Active IL RN license and 1 year IR experience are required, with BLS/ACLS/NIHSS certifications. The role features a 4x10 hour day shift (6:30 AM–5:00 PM) and on-call obligations, with floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliates.

Qualifications

Active Illinois RN license required and in hand at time of application.
Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience required.
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
AHA and Red Cross certifications accepted; RQI cards not accepted.
SSN and DOB required for consideration.

Responsibilities

Interventional Radiology unit within an acute care hospital setting.
Level II Trauma center with 372 staffed beds.
Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
On-call required one night per week, every 4th weekend.
Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities.
Uses Cerner charting system.
Perform IR procedures including vascular studies, GI studies, neurological procedures, pulmonary studies, and genitourinary procedures.
Skilled in procedural sedation monitoring, sheath removal, vascular closure devices, and radiation/laser safety.
Experience with medications such as antiarrhythmics, vasopressors, thrombolytics, and reversal agents preferred.
Scrubs provided for this role.
Parking permit required at no cost, arranged during orientation.
First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Previous permanent or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler.
RTO ideally limited to no more than 5 days.
Candidates must work 2 of the 3 major holidays.
Travel pairs are not accepted.
