Job summary

American Traveler Staffing Professionals is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Interventional Radiology position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications with prior ICU or IR experience.

Assignments run 13 weeks in Montgomery, AL with 4x10hr day shifts or 3x12hr shifts, on-call every 4th weekend and one night per week. Travel pay includes weekly wages of about $2,606 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active AL or compact RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience, or 2 years of experience for first-time travelers
• Skills: ICU care, moderate sedation, arterial line management, medication titration, chest tube management

Responsibilities

• Interventional Radiology unit with 7 pre/post bays and 2 procedural suites.
• Provide IR nursing care for outpatient and inpatient cases including procedures like biopsies and angiograms.
• Maintain patient ratios 1:1 in procedure rooms and up to 1:3 in pre/post areas.
• Operate and monitor Cerner EMR, Plum 360 pumps, Omnicell and Spacelabs monitors.
• Shift options include 4x10 hour shifts or 3x12 hour shifts with rotating off days.
