Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of IR experience to support body and neuro IR procedures.

Details

• Work in a department with 2 IR suites averaging 8 patients per day
• Primarily adult patients, with occasional assistance for pediatric patients in MRI or CT (none in IR)
• Body procedures include TIPS, Y90s, kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, fistulograms/declot, nephrostomy stents/tubes, peripheral run offs/interventions, IVC filter placements, Pleurx, trialysis/permacaths, PE, Angiojet, EKOS, and coil/chemo embolizations
• Neuro procedures include coil embolizations, thrombectomy, carotid interventions, and MMA
• Uses Cerner EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, EKOS, Angiojet, and Siemens c-arms
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 0700-1730 with a rotating day off
• On-call required every 4th day from end of last case until 0700 the following morning with a 20-minute response time
• Works as part of a 2 Tech + 1 RN on-call team
• May float to other radiology areas such as CT or MRI to assist with procedures

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of IR experience across both body and neuro specialties
• Current BLS and ARRT certification required
• State license required if applicable
• Must be comfortable with all patient types and capable of scrubbing and panning simultaneously as well as circulating

Additional Information

• Department support includes a Lead Tech/Charge RN, transporter, room turnover support, Manager/Supervisor, on-site IR MD during the day with on-call coverage at night, and 24/7 RT, Hospitalist, Intensivist, and Rapid Response/Code Team coverage
• Orientation includes NEO plus 1-2 weeks of department-specific orientation
• May be required to take call for up to 50% of holidays during the contract
• Schedules are released approximately 2 weeks in advance on a monthly cycle
• RTO requests require manager approval
• Scrubs are provided
• Free parking available
• First-time travelers will be considered
