American Traveler is seeking a Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in San Francisco, CA. The role requires RCIS or ARRT(R) certification and 2+ years IR tech experience, with 40 hours weekly on 4x10 hour day shifts.

You will support cardiologists, radiologists and RNs during interventional procedures in a cardiac IR lab, with no weekend shifts but rotating night/call. Local candidates are welcomed at local rate within a 50-mile radius.

• BLS and ACLS certification required.

Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology position requiring RCIS or ARRT (R) certification and 2+ years of IR tech experience.

Details

• Interventional Radiology Lab setting
• Supports cardiologists, radiologists, and RNs during interventional procedures
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
• No weekend shift requirement, but rotating night and weekend call required
• Wide range of procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, biopsies, drain placements, and vascular studies
• Uses Siemens fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and PACS equipment

Requirements

• RCIS or ARRT (R) certification required; CA radiology technologist license required if applicable
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Fluoroscopy permit required
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an IR Technologist
• Prior travel experience required
• Skilled in vascular closure systems, EKG lead placement, sterile field maintenance, and equipment set-up
• Experience with IVUS preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient monitoring, room circulating, scrubbing in, and assisting with a wide variety of vascular, neurological, and genitourinary procedures
• May mentor and train students
• Adheres to isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Accepts local candidates at local rate within a 50-mile radius
• Returning staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Maximum RTO is 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request allowed per contract
• Must complete required lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
