Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 3+ years of IR experience for a Level 2 trauma center in North Dakota. ARRT(R) certification and ND Medical Imaging registration are required, with licensing as applicable and a background check.

The role includes 8-hour day shifts, optional overtime, and on-call duties (evenings/weekends). It involves working in IR with two fluoro rooms, CT use, and ultrasound procedures; Epic EMR and PACS are used.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Work in acute care Level 2 trauma center.
• IR department with two fluoroscopy rooms, CT utilization, and two MIS rooms for ultrasound procedures.
• 8-hour day shifts with possible overtime to finish cases started before shift end.
• Call required on evening and weekend rotation (~10 days per month, ~2 days/week depending on time off).
• Independent work for smaller cases; two-person team for larger angiography procedures.
• Floats within IR; may assist in CT department.
• Uses Epic EMR, Sectra PACS, Toshiba IR, and Siemens ultrasound unit.
• Assist radiologists during procedures including scrubbing in and coordinating room.
• Schedule and code procedures; handle post-procedure film processing, charting, and billing.
• Orientation includes EMR training and equipment/protocol review; scrubs provided; badge in/out required.
• Local candidates within 80 miles not accepted; health system alumni require 6-month gap before submission.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience
• BLS certification required
• ARRT(R) certification required
• North Dakota Medical Imaging Board registration (NDMIRT) required, which takes approximately 4 weeks to obtain
• License required if applicable
• Background check required
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting within a Level 2 trauma center
• IR department with two fluoro rooms, CT utilization, and two MIS rooms for ultrasound procedures
• 8-hour day shifts with possibility of staying late to finish cases started before shift end
• Call required on evening and weekend rotation, approximately 10 days or less per month, about 2 days per week or less depending on time off schedules
• Works independently for smaller interventional cases and in a two-person team for larger angiography procedures
• Floats mainly within Interventional Radiology but may assist in Cat Scan department
• Uses Epic EMR, Sectra PACS, Toshiba IR machine, and Siemens ultrasound unit
• Assist radiologists during procedures including scrubbing in and coordinating the room during cases
• Responsible for scheduling and coding of procedures
• Handle post-procedure film processing, charting, and billing of cases and supplies
• Unit-specific orientation includes EMR training and general equipment and protocol review by the department
• Hospital scrubs provided in Ceil Blue
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Does not accept local candidates with permanent addresses within 80 miles of the facility
• Clinicians who previously worked for this health system must have an end date at least 6 months prior to their submission date
