Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology unit. You will perform a broad range of IR procedures, manage equipment, and maintain a sterile field across multiple sites.

The role requires 1 year of IR experience, ACLS/BLS, and Epic EMR proficiency. Expect 4x10 hour days, possible weekend rotations, and occasional travel within the state.

Qualifications

• Experience with vascular studies and endovascular tasks is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate in the Interventional Radiology unit.

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology unit, requiring at least 1 year of experience and proficiency across a wide range of IR procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certification
• Compact state license must be in hand at time of submission, if applicable
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency in abdominal and pelvic procedures including angioplasty, aortography, chemoembolization, embolization, ERCP, IVC filter placement/removal, IVC cavagram, liver biopsy, mesenteric angiogram, paracentesis, pelvic and renal angiography, selective visceral angiography, stent placement, superior vena cavogram, and thoracentesis
• Proficiency in genitourinary studies and procedures including adrenal and renal angiography, cholecystostomy, cystoscopy, embolization, gastrostomy, nephrostomy, renal artery and ureteral stent placement, and uterine arterial embolization
• Experience with vascular studies, endovascular interventions, and procedural responsibilities such as equipment setup, room circulating, and maintaining a sterile field while scrubbed
• Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)

Responsibilities

• Interventional Radiology unit
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Weekend rotation may exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs
• Must be open to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Potential to float between sister facilities within the state
• Perform a broad range of interventional radiology procedures spanning vascular, genitourinary, and abdominal/pelvic specialties
• Responsibilities include equipment setup, room circulating, and scrubbing in to maintain a sterile field
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• First-time travelers may be considered
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
