American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of IR experience to support cardiac and vascular interventional procedures.

Details

• Interventional Radiology / Special Procedures department
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call required with a 30-minute response time
• Epic EMR experience required
• Uses fluoroscopy, GE Innova IGS, Siemens, computed tomography, ultrasound, and PACS systems
• Performs vascular, abdominal/pelvic, genitourinary, and neurological interventional procedures including angiography, embolization, stent placement, TIPS, IVC filter placement, and vertebroplasty

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology
• Candidates with 1 year of experience may be considered if they have neuro IR and scrub experience
• ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT (VI) preferred
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Scrub experience required
• Travel experience required
• Experience with venous access, central line care, vascular closure devices, and sterile technique
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• License required if applicable
• Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• May be assigned to an emergency response team during facility emergencies, with potential requirement to remain onsite or join a relief team
• Must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
• Orientation held 5 days a week
• Two manager/supervisor references required to obtain clearance to start (charge RNs not accepted)
• NURSYS report required and must be current within 4 weeks of consideration
• Allied health candidates may be considered with a pending license but must apply for licensure within 72 hours of accepting the assignment
• Local candidates not accepted; must live more than 65 miles from the facility
• Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have a 1-year separation from the facility before returning as a traveler
• All RTO must be listed on the profile and discussed during the interview
