Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab seeks a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in North Chesterfield, Virginia. The IR tech will support physicians during minimally invasive procedures, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with a clinical team in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires an IR tech with ARRT/RCIS/RCES, BLS, and at least one year of IR experience; ACLS/PALS and state licensure are preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of recent IR technologist experience.
• Active ARRT/RCIS/RCES certification compliant with state regs.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for IR procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operate fluoroscopy and imaging equipment to guide procedures.
• Scrub in for sterile procedures, pass instruments and maintain sterile field.
• Monitor vital signs and document procedural details.
• Ensure radiation safety for patients and staff.
• Assist radiologists and healthcare team to support vascular/non-vascular procedures.
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment for readiness.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
• Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures.
