Knowledge of PACS and Epic, plus strong anatomy and safety skills, are essential. The position features a 36-hour week on a 12-hour day shift schedule, with call coverage and a focus on high-quality diagnostic imaging within the Surgical Services

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of interventional radiology experience.
• Current BLS certification required.
• State Radiology Technologist License required.
• ARRT (R) certification required.
• ARRT (VI) certification preferred, or required within 18 months of hire.
• License required if applicable.
• Proficiency with imaging equipment, PACS, and Epic.
• Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and image quality standards.
• Skilled in patient positioning, imaging technique, radiation safety, infection control, and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Surgical Services department performing interventional radiology and special procedures.
• 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, 3 days per week, totaling 36 hours weekly.
• Call coverage required.
• Uses imaging equipment, PACS, and Epic EMR.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images in accordance with department guidelines.
• Communicate exam details to patients and address patient anxiety using age-appropriate communication skills.
• Supervise students providing patient care as part of their training.
• Apply radiation safety techniques and devices to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
• Maintain professional competence through continuing education.
• Take a customer service approach with internal and external customers while complying with confidentiality requirements.
