Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR tech) for a 13-week travel assignment in Lenexa, KS. The ideal candidate will have one year of IR tech experience, ARRT/RCIS/RCES certification, and current BLS.

Qualifications

One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
Valid ARRT, RCIS, or RCES certification compliant with state regulations.
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
Preferred ACLS certification (AHA/ARC).
License in radiologic technology as per state regulations.
PALS or ENPC certification may be required.

Responsibilities

Prepare and position patients for IR procedures with emphasis on safety and comfort.
Operate fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound to guide procedures.
Assist physicians by scrubbing in, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field.
Monitor patient vitals and document procedural details.
Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
Ensure radiation safety for patients and staff; troubleshoot imaging equipment.
