Job summary

Focus Staff in Wilmington, NC is seeking a traveling Interventional Radiographer to operate radiographic equipment and perform vascular and neuroradiology interventional procedures.

This 13-week contract offers 12-hour day shifts, travel support, and a competitive benefits package including health insurance and licensing reimbursement.

Candidates should have proven IR radiography experience, strong patient safety knowledge, and excellent communication with staff and patients.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Interventional Radiographer.
• Independent decision-making skills.
• Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions.
• Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients and families.
• Ability to relate positively to residents and families and work cooperatively with other employees.
• Meet all local health regulations, and successfully complete a post-offer health assessment.
• Physical and sensory requirements including walking, reaching, lifting, reading, and communicating under stress.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Develop skills in McKesson RIS, Physician Portal, PCM, PMM, Kronos, PACS, PHS, Teletrak and related systems.
• Monitor equipment performance to specification.
• Assist supervisor in maintaining supplies for patient care.
• Ensure relevant exam information is captured at the time of the exam.
• Assist radiologists in performing exams with clinical excellence.
