Focus Staff is seeking a traveling Interventional Radiographer to work in Norfolk, VA. The role involves operating radiographic equipment for complex vascular and neuroradiology interventional procedures, with a 13-week travel assignment and 40-hour weeks.

Responsibilities include supporting radiologists, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining equipment. The position emphasizes attention to detail, independence, and reliable attendance in a fast-paced travel environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Interventional Radiographer.
• Must possess independent decision-making skills.
• Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions.
• Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients and families.
• Ability to relate positively to residents and families and work cooperatively with other employees.
• Meet all local health regulations and successfully complete a post-offer health assessment.
• Physical and sensory requirements as listed for radiology roles.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret safety rules and operation manuals.
• Develop and maintain skills in clinical systems and imaging workflows.
• Monitor equipment performance to specification.
• Assist supervisor in maintaining supplies for patient care.
• Ensure relevant exam information is captured at the time of the exam.
• Assist radiologists in performing exams and ensure clinical excellence.
