Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR tech) for a 13-week travel assignment in Louisville, KY. The role involves assisting physicians in minimally invasive procedures, preparing patients and equipment, and ensuring patient safety.

You will meet requirements including one year IR tech experience, ARRT/RCIS/RCES certification, and BLS. Preferred ACLS, license, and ENPC/PALS.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
• Valid ARRT, or RCIS/RCES Certification in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for interventional procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound) to guide procedures.
• Assist physicians by scrubbing in for sterile procedures and passing instruments.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details.
• Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Maintain radiation safety for patients, staff and self.
• Troubleshoot imaging equipment and ensure readiness for procedures.
• Restock procedural supplies (catheters, guidewires, contrast agents).
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses and team members for seamless care.
