Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab is seeking a Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Hagerstown, MD. The IR tech will support physicians during minimally invasive procedures, operate fluoroscopy and other imaging modalities, and uphold safety standards.

Requirements include one year of IR tech experience, ARRT/RCIS/RCES certification, and BLS. Preferred ACLS, radiology license, PALS or ENPC, and other applicable certifications.

Qualifications

• One year of IR technologist experience required.
• ARRT or RCIS/RCES certification required.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for IR procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Operate fluoroscopy and other imaging modalities to guide procedures.
• Scrub in for sterile procedures, pass instruments, and maintain a sterile field.
• Monitor vital signs and document procedural details.
• Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Ensure radiation safety for patients, staff, and self.
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure readiness.
• Restock procedural supplies like catheters and contrast agents.
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses and team members for seamless care.
• Follow infection control, safety and regulatory protocols.
• Educate patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Perform other duties to support IR lab operations.

Education

One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist

ARRT/RCIS/RCES certification

BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
