Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN in Interventional Radiology for an assignment in Omaha, Nebraska. The role requires acute care clinical experience, IR procedures knowledge, and rotating call responsibilities.

The position offers 40 hours per week with 10-hour day shifts (7:30a–4:30p) and a travel-friendly schedule. The traveler must hold an active NE or Compact RN license, BLS/ACLS/NIHSS certifications, and be able to pass a skills exam during orientation.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in NE or Compact at time of consideration.
• Minimum two years IR/ICU/ER experience; neuro experience preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; PALS preferred.
• Must pass a skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90%.
• Copy of driver’s license to verify eligibility for 50-mile radius rule.
• No prior full-time/part-time/PRN employment with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities in the past year.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital setting in the Interventional Radiology department.
• Patient population includes diagnostics, embolizations, carotid stents, and thrombectomies.
• Mixed case types, including neuro cases, supported by Neuro IR techs.
• Schedules are 4x10-hour day shifts (7:30a-4:30p) Monday through Friday with cyclic scheduling.
• Call required 10-13 days per month, including weekends and holidays.
• May float within Radiology and to other facilities for stroke or IR coverage as needed.
• Uses Epic EMR and Siemens Artis Icono equipment.
• Responsibilities include caring for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures.
• May assist with IV starts, patient transport, file room coverage, and other radiology tasks.
• Team includes a charge nurse on each shift and specialized IR and Neuro IR technologists.
• Two weeks of unit-specific orientation provided.
• Compliance with fingernail policy prohibiting artificial nails in patient care.
• Holiday and call coverage duties are assigned on a rotational basis.
• Candidates must provide requested time off (RTO) upfront, max 7 days per 13-week contract.
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility for consideration.
