Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an Inpatient Occupational Therapist for a Level 3 Trauma Center in Iowa. Active IA OT license and prior OT experience are required, along with BLS and mandatory reporter certification.

Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to work 5x8-hour shifts with some weekend coverage. Travel eligibility includes housing/relocation considerations and benefits. First-time travelers are welcome; applicants must reside 50 miles from the facility.

Qualifications

• Active Iowa Occupational Therapy license is required.
• BLS certification is required (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military accepted).
• Prior OT experience is required.
• Mandatory Reporter certification is required.
• Valid Driver's License is required for consideration.
• Supervisory reference/performance evaluation from within the last two years is required.
• Discipline-specific skills checklist is required.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient rehabilitation unit setting at a Level 3 Trauma Center.
• 5x8-hour day shifts, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.
• Some weekend coverage requested.
• No on-call requirements.
• May float within the same discipline across local campuses.
• EMR: Epic.
• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility.
• Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are ineligible to work travel assignments at other UPH markets within 12 months.
• Required to work 2 of 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day).
• Limited to one day-off request during designated holiday blackout periods.
• Scrub color requirement: dark grey/charcoal.
