Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an Occupational Therapist for an inpatient acute care role in Wisconsin. The ideal candidate has 1+ year of experience and current OT licensure, in a Level 2 trauma center environment.

The position involves OT inpatient service across adult and pediatric populations, with Cerner transitioning to Epic, 8-hour day shifts, rotating weekends, and credentialing timelines. Local candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Current OT license required if applicable.
• Minimum 1 year of experience required.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with ADL evaluation and documentation justifying next level of care.
• Strong teamwork skills and flexibility required.

Responsibilities

• Acute care inpatient setting at a Level 2 trauma center.
• OT Inpatient unit serving adult and pediatric populations.
• Patient population includes adult and pediatric ICUs, stroke, trauma, neuro, ortho, general med surg, oncology, and same-day discharge joint program patients.
• Covers adult and pediatric acute inpatient rehab, pediatric inpatient rehab program, and stroke specialty program.
• Performs ADL evaluations and documents to justify next level of care.
• Collaborates within an interdisciplinary team including rehab aides and COTAs.
• Must clock in and out at the facility.
• Dress code requires any solid color scrubs, clean and professional appearance.
• Department-specific orientation varies based on skill level.
• OT professionals must go through facility credentialing process which can extend onboarding timeline.
• All required licensure, including state license, must be completed in time to meet credentialing deadlines.
