Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift in a hospital setting. The position requires a PA or Compact RN license, ACLS, BLS and NIHSS certifications, with a preference for at least 2 years ICU experience and prior charge nurse exposure.

The role includes 3x12 hour nights (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM), every other weekend, floating within the facility and to sister facilities within 10 miles. Travel, housing allowances, and licensure reimbursements are provided.

Qualifications

• Active PA or Compact RN license required.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications only).
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred.
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred.
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required for submission.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital setting.
• 1:2 patient ratio.
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Every other weekend coverage required.
• Cerner charting system experience preferred.
• Floating required within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed.
• Navy scrub color required.
• Candidates must be available to work every other holiday.
• Must reside over 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address.
• Local candidates and local rule submissions are not accepted.
• Travel pairs may be accepted based on facility need, though same schedule cannot be guaranteed.
• Former permanent employees cannot return through an agency unless separated for at least 2 years.
• Travelers are limited to a cumulative one-year assignment within the health system, followed by a required two-year break before becoming eligible to return.
• Travelers can only be submitted to one facility within the health system at a time.
• Two supervisor references preferred
